HANGTIME was founded in 2015 as an outdoor gear brand focused on hammocks. After launching several products on Amazon, I (Haj) came away with one key lesson: innovation is critical for success in today’s crowded markets. So, in 2017 when I came up with the KOALA design, I sold my remaining HANGTIME inventory and pivoted the branding to reflect this new direction. I came up with the design for the KOALA – the smartphone leash for life on the go – on a ski lift. It’s a solution born from my 30+ years of climbing, backpacking, traveling and skiing and after a year+ of design, redesign, testing, preparation and contributions from an awesome team, and as of 9/18/19 we’re live on Indiegogo!
