Athelhampton House

Athelhampton House and Gardens, is a spectacular 15th-century manor house set in award-winning gardens 5 miles east of the Dorset town of Dorchester. Athelhampton provides an excellent historical experience, and with an on-site shop and restaurants, an excellent day for visitors. Though its foundations and roots are in the past, Athelhampton is forward-thinking business investing in the future. "Athelhampton Zero", an infrastructure project about to reach completion, sees Athelhampton become carbon-neutral using, a carefully considered combination of Solar generation, Battery storage, and Ground/Air source heating. "Project House" sees an upgrade to historic and domestic rooms around the house, with more historic rooms becoming available for viewing and event use. Athelhampton remains a location for arts and events, welcoming touring theatre, live music, Christmas markets and since 2020 a home from home for dancers from the Royal Ballet who perform at Athelhampton each summer.
