The authentic Panama hat It’s a little-known fact that the ‘Panama hat’ is an Ecuadorian creation; given its nickname due to popularity in the nearby country in the late 19th century. Crafted by genuine Ecuadorian artisans, Artesano hats are hand-woven with traditional Toquilla straw, made from the mature leaves of the Carludovica palmate.
