Umber & Ochre

Umber & Ochre strives to be as faithful to the past as possible while making clothing that can be easily incorporated into any man’s wardrobe. Our company concept is based on the revival of functional and unobtrusive elements that have been lost to the annals of time and modern manufacturing. In terms of fabric, organic, herbal dyed fabrics have been used wherever possible, harkening back to the traditional methods in use before the chemical revolution. Our design concept borrows core elements from the American West (including workwear and tailoring) and imbues them with details from around the world. The inspiration for Fall/Winter 2012 spanned the Bandits of the Wild West to the Dacoits of Victorian Colonial India, creating clothing that is not one or the other; but uniquely Umber & Ochre.
