Sibu Wildlife Sanctuary

Sibu Wildlife Sanctuary's mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and release injured, orphaned and displaced Costa Rican wildlife, specializing in Golden Mantled Howler Monkeys. Sibu's facilities offer large and specialized habitats to conform to individual handicaps and special needs. Our sanctuary has also built a greenhouse to propagate trees and plants and out-planting them into the jungle for the monkeys to forage. Furthermore, Sibu works with the local utility companies to prevent wildlife electrocutions on uninsulated transformers and power lines. We provide educational visits to the public to share our efforts and promote awareness of the value of wildlife and conservation.
