The REAL ESCAPE GAME ™, known as リアル脱出ゲーム in Japanese, has been held in numerous Asian countries in unique and innovative places such as abandoned schools, ruined hospitals, amusement parks, stadiums, and churches building great enthusiasm for returning players and new players alike. SCRAP has become a pioneer in the development of the escape game genre, in Japan television series, such as Real Escape Game TV and movies are constantly being released making SCRAP a driving force in the world of entertainment. The first Real Escape Game outside of Asia took place in San Francisco and opened in 2012 under the name “Escape from the Mysterious Room.” About 20,000 people tried their luck at escaping over the two years that the room was held in the city. Despite the low success rate of 1.8% the challenging difficulty of the room the tickets were often sold out.
