From 1873, Payson Casters has been dedicated to the future and committed to offering the most complete selection of casters in the world. Today, there are over 50,000 caster models suited for every conceivable application. Headquartered in Gurnee, Illinois, is Payson Casters complete manufacturing facility, where an idea can be taken from concept to completion. Through design, engineering, and manufacturing, Payson Casters employs state-of-the-art tooling, machining, punch press, welding, fabrication, and assembly with all facets enhanced by CAD CAM and Quality Control. In July of 1983, Payson Casters purchased Roll-A-Way, making Roll-A-Way a subsidiary of Payson. Washington-Kinney, a material handling division of Roll-A-Way in Chicago, was purchased at the same time. Over the years, additional conveyor businesses were purchased, increasing Roll-A-Way’s strength. In June of 1986, Roll-A-Way brought in Randolph Conveyor out of Chicago. American Overhead Conveyors was acquired in January of 1998, originally manufactured in Glenwood, MN. The acquisition of these lines has proven to be a wise move.
