Don is a Maine-based singer-songwriter, often compared to Vince Gill and Dan Fogelberg in sound and style and his band, the Don Campbell Band, is a tight, highly versatile group. They can dynamically perform soft music and well as full-on power tunes, which can keep an audience mesmerized, simply from the “musical buffet” it provides and its roller-coaster of grooves and tempos delivering all different styles of emotion. From Don's own heartfelt originals, to the music of Dan Fogelberg, the Eagles, John Cougar Mellencamp, The Smithereens, AC/DC, Prince, Van Halen, Neil Young, James Taylor, The Black Crowes, Vince Gill, Chris Isaak and many, many greats, you will want to come back for more after spending an evening with Don Campbell and the Don Campbell Band. Here's how it all began: Don and his band performed original music and won $50,000.00 at Nashville’s Grand ‘Ol Opry, while during the same week, won the Jim Beam Back Room Band Search at Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon. Don and the band then went on to perform at Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots, while opening the show for Keith Urban and Toby Keith. Don has opened for countless other great artists such as Carrie Underwood, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, George Jones and others.
