The DPD is the 9th largest law enforcement agency in the state of Georgia and one of only a few to be both state certified and nationally accredited by CALEA. The department has exclusive law enforcement jurisdiction within the corporate city limits of Dalton and provides a full spectrum of law enforcement services.
