Here at Collaborative , our focus is on the client and how we can understand the complexities at hand.
Our providers hold a core value in collaborating with other entities or services that are involved, such as schools, court systems, family services, or other mental health providers. This practice was founded on the core belief that no one person has all the answers and therefore, we do not claim to be experts. We utilize our resources to help better equip us to help, whether that be our own therapists, current or new research, supervisors, additional systems, or trusted colleagues. Collaborative Therapy encourages the therapist and client(s) to work together.
Evidence has shown that the most effective aspect of therapy is the client-therapist relationship. We utilize researched assessments and tools developed by well-known agencies to evaluate these relationships and the progress/effectiveness of the approach.
Here, we utilize Mentalization-Based Treatment for children through adults as one of the founding concepts to working with others. Mentalization-Based Treatment encourages a curious stance to the discussion, while encouraging emotional stability, joint attention, cognitive flexibility, and more.
The point is, we work together to figure out how best we can support you because...it’s not about us.
